Overview

Mozza Restaurant and Lounge, nestled within the Radisson Hotel in Richmond, BC, stands as a convenient and inviting spot for both travelers and locals alike. Its location near Vancouver International Airport makes it a natural choice for those seeking a meal before or after a flight, catering mostly to a steady flow of airport passengers and hotel guests. The space itself balances comfort and casual elegance, offering a relaxed lounge atmosphere where diners can unwind without the rush.

The menu embraces classic comfort with thoughtful touches. Highlights such as the fish and chips showcase fresh beer-battered cod paired with crisp fries and a tangy tartar sauce, delivering a reliable and satisfying experience. For those preferring a heartier option, the NY steak comes with a rich red wine demi-glaze and well-executed sides like garlic smashed potatoes and seasonal roasted vegetables. Vegetarians and health-conscious diners will find the kale and quinoa bowl appealing, featuring nutrient-dense ingredients like avocado, goat cheese, and dried cranberries dressed in a sundried tomato vinaigrette.

Sharing plates and starters create a good opening to the meal, with truffle fries generously dressed in truffle oil and Grana Padano, or lightly battered calamari served with a gentle garlic aioli. These dishes strike a balance between rustic and refined, perfect for those who enjoy a social dining experience. The overall kitchen approach favors fresh, straightforward fare over experimental cuisine, maintaining ease and familiarity.

Customer feedback portrays a consistent theme: dependable food and attentive service, though with some variance in pace depending on traffic. The buffet lunch during holiday times draws praise for its prime rib—tender and well-seasoned, a highlight for many. Meanwhile, breakfast offerings garner positive remarks for quality and presentation, including well-crafted breakfast sandwiches and robust coffee service. At times, slower service has been noted, likely reflecting the ebb of the travel season and staffing levels.

The restaurant appeals to a broad audience: business travelers, families, and local guests who appreciate familiar flavors in a welcoming setting. Mozza’s appeal lies in offering steady, comforting meals rather than culinary innovation. It is a reliable choice for a hearty breakfast, a casual lunch, or an easy dinner with a touch of indulgence.

In summary, Mozza Restaurant and Lounge delivers a solid dining experience with an emphasis on classic dishes executed well, a convenient location, and attentive hospitality. It is a sturdy option for those passing through Richmond or seeking uncomplicated, satisfying meals in a pleasant environment.

2020 New Year's buffet lunch. Salads include: peel-and-eat shrimps, apple/fennel/bocconcini salad, kale caesar, raw beets and carrot salad, field greens with balsamic vinegar, beef carpaccio, and thickly carved smoke salmon. Breakfast items include: sausage, bacon, eggs Benni, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, roast pork, French toast, gourmet mushrooms and Asian fried noodles. The carving station includes: roast prime rib, roast ham, and roast turkey, with stuffing, roast potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding. There were also numerous cakes and Christmas cookies. The peel-and-eat shrimps were really good. I was surprised that the beet and carrot salad was raw (instead of roasted beets), oh well, it contributed to the raw fibre in my diet. I was most impressed with the roast prime rib. First of all, competing buffets tend to skimp on the beef and offer less tender cuts such as round or rump. The Mooza prime rib was very tender, with the right amount of fat in the middle. It was well seasoned outside with beef seasoning which was very tasty. The beef was well done (my preference) and not pink or rare inside, and yet still melts in your mouth. They told me that it's been cooking all night. My only complaint is that the hot foods are not hot which, I guess, is the nature of buffet food. Apart from that, we had a great meal and enjoyed most everything. The servers were extremely attentive and looked after us very well. The price was right too.

So good had classic burger very yum. The shrimp salad it was great I did mention to waiter that some feta cheese and avacado would have made it even better. The mango dome was delicious really enjoyed our dinner. Our last night in Vancouver before heading home to Auckland New Zealand

We were staying in the hotel and decided to have breakfast there before hitting the road. Wish we had gone there for lunch or dinner, but the poor reviews made us hesitant. So sad because we had a wonderful breakfast experience! Fast friendly service and the food was good! Coffee was superb and was refilled often. Breakfast sandwich was picture perfect and tasted great too! No complaints and proof to take reviews with a grain of salt

Mozza restaurant and lounge is connected to the Radisson Hotel close to the Vancouver airport where a lot of its clientele are travellers to and from the airport. COVID travelling has slowed and as a result there aren't a lot of people eating at this restaurant. Accordingly service was slow with only a few servers available to look after you. The food was standard fare, well cooked but nothing special.
